Caleb Ware | Cinematographer

I had the pleasure of working with my good friend and incredibly talented cinematographer Caleb Ware yesterday. I waited until blue hour and exposed to the ambient to capture that stunning blue sky. Then rim lit with a bare Speedlite gelled orange for separation. Foreground and subject fill was provided by another Speedlite in a 4" Octobank gelled a cyan/blue to match the ambient temp. Hopefully, this marks the beginning of an ongoing project to capture local creatives in a series of environmental images.

Red Frogs Australia

I recently took on the role of Director of Photography to shoot a  spot for RED FROGS which was to be screened at their annual gala dinner. The goal of the spot was to 'rally the troops' to give or help out and highlighted the services that RED FROGS makes. Thematically the piece used a WWII backdrop to help the metaphor along. Here are some screen grabs from the promo and a series of images used in the promotional literature.

Generdyn | Film music Composer

Last month I had the honour of photographing prolific composer Joshua Crispin aka Generdyn Music. We shot from dawn until dusk in multiple locations on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. The idea was to complement Joshua's epic sound by shooting in the natural landscape to give the images a sense grandeur through the use of negative space and contrastCheck out Joshua's music on spotify

TIGERAIR | Airline ReBrand

In October 2015 TIGERAIR unveiled their domestic airline rebrand which consisted of new uniforms, a refreshed logo and updated aircraft livery. During this rebrand I was commissioned to create these images along with a cohesive short form film to be used for in-house training. It was a great project to be a part of and a great team of people to have the opportunity to work with.

I was recently commissioned by C FINANCE BROKERS to create these images for their fresh new website. The brief was to create brand focused environmental portraits. Check out their website by clicking the link above.

FULL MOON TEST : What started as a gear shakedown for a short film in the works quickly became a 'for the hell of it' short piece/experiment. One of the main tasks was to see first hand how the a7s would respond to ultra low lighting situations. It was an amazing success. The clip was primarily lit by the diffused full moon and supplemented by on location practicals, (cars, streetlights and that sort of fare).

GEAR USED : a7s / Takumar SMC 50mm 1.4 / Atomos Shogun / DJI Ronin / Israeli Bio-Hazard Gas Mask

Out and about, testing the not so new Fuji X-E2. Not a bad little 'rangefinder'. I'm looking forward to using it as a quirky second cam at tomorrows wedding.

During the last part of 2013 a good friend of mine mentioned a competition that I may be interested in entering. That competition was the JUST CAR INSURANCE REEL DEAL. We ended up winning the grand prize and got an honourable mention for our second entry in the competition (those entries are at the bottom of this page if your interested in checking them out). Fast-forward to November 2014 and the competition is running again. If we wanted any hope of winning again, we would need to up our game. After months of brainstorming, writing, planning, re-writing, testing, building, RE-WRITING, shooting, editing compositing, sound designing, and colour grading, I entered our entry. To our amazement, we won it again. Here'e our entry, I hope you enjoy.
